I am an Australian Citizen with Montessori experience looking for work.

I'm capable of taking a lead position and doing what is called a self-directed internship, but I would also be happy to work as an assistant for a year under an experienced Montessori certified supervising teacher. I hope that I will be able to find a position in an authentic Montessori school where the teachers work together and support each other.  As with all new teachers I will benefit greatly from the guidance of mentors and a strong supportive Montessori community, but I will also be able to make a significant contribution to any school with whom I'm associated.

My husband and I are seeking to settle in Brisbane and ideally we would like to find a school there. Though we are also willing to look at options where I can work as an assistant teacher in a city other than Brisbane for the term of the internship. Initially when we arrive in Australia we will be based in Darwin where my family lives and can visit schools for interviews and trial days from there. I plan to register as a relief teacher in Darwin as I search for options.
