Balance in our life is necessary for Peace
The 21st century has heralded an era that is faster paced than any other. The demands that are inherent in multiple roles as we daily juggle a variety of activities both inside and outside our homes are highly taxing and often overwhelm our personal resources. Children today are also under a lot of stress. There are a plethora of health promotion programs available both old and new.
Yoga’s history goes back 4000 years. The word yoga means to ‘integrate’. It is an approach to health care that promotes the harmonious working together of all of the body’s components. It is not a religion; it is a tool that can be practised by anyone, anywhere, anytime. It is also free. Montessori argued that healthy children are naturally drawn to a sense of the spiritual: a love of work, goodwill, reflectiveness etc. This is the root of the "normalised child" - the positive model of health and intelligence that all ‘Montessorians’ are called upon to facilitate.
Presenter: Eva Nislev:
